Chuck Hansen, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer
Chuck has been with the company since 1986 and a member of the Board of Directors since 1983. Chuck began his career with Arthur Andersen & Co. and later served as Vice President, Finance for a Texas-based New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) bank holding company. After returning to California, Chuck worked with Menlo Ventures and became Vice President of a computer graphics company, later sold to E.I. DuPont. Chuck has been a visiting course lecturer at the Department of Engineering Professional Development, University of Wisconsin, Madison, for over ten years. Chuck earned his B.S. from the University of California, Berkeley (1978) and his MBA from the Anderson School of Management at UCLA (1982).

Mark Watts, President
A computer professional with over 30 years of industry experience, Mark is responsible for Hansen’s worldwide operations. Mark has worked with Hansen products since 1994, and in November 2000 he established Hansen’s Australian, New Zealand, and Asian operations. Since then, Mark has been instrumental in the success of many major Hansen projects.

Bob Benstead, Business Unit Director, Community Development and Regulations (CDR)
Bob has been with Hansen since 1997 and served in many roles including the Managing Director for Hansen Information Technologies, UK Ltd. and Western Regional Sales Manager. Over his two years in London, Bob more than tripled the size of Hansen’s UK business and was responsible for all operations in the United Kingdom and Europe. His experience before joining Hansen includes 13 years in the Development/Entitlement industry. Bob is currently a member of the HUD PATH committee, AWWA, and has been a guest lecturer for the University of Wisconsin’s Department of Engineering Professional Development Program. Bob earned his B.S. degree from the University of Nebraska.

John Buffington, Business Unit Director, HMS, GIS and DynamicPORTAL®
John has been in the IT business for the past 18 years. He was formerly Director of Development for a Fortune 50 publicly-traded high tech company. John was responsible for the development of numerous systems and applications architectures that enabled company revenues to grow from $15B to over $35B in 4 years. John's diverse background in Product Development, Delivery, and Customer Service make him the ideal person to build solutions for Hansen clients. John earned his B.S. from California State University, Sacramento.

John Cowell, Managing Director, Hansen UK
John has been in the information technology and consulting industries for over 20 years. He began his career as an engineer in the Fleet Street UK newspaper industry and eventually moved into large IT systems integration. Recently, John has worked with complex package implementation and business transformation-enabled programs. He has in-depth knowledge and experience with the development and management of growing, innovative organizations. Prior to joining Hansen, John was employed at Capgemini® UK. Previous to that, he worked in senior roles for KPMG® and Ernst and Young® in the Asia Pacific region.        

Russell Gainford, Chief Technology Officer
Russell Gainford is responsible for Hansen’s Technical Services Group which includes core product development, documentation, quality control and assurance, and the HMS, GIS and DynamicPORTAL® product lines. Russell joined Hansen in 2002 as a software engineer, and has been a core member of the product team responsible for architecting, designing, and implementing Hansen 8. With his development experience in all phases of the software development lifecycle, extensive knowledge of programming languages, and commitment to communication and quality assurance, Russell is a natural fit to lead the continuing development of Hansen technology for our clients. Russell earned his B.S. from Salem State College in Salem, MA, where he graduated cum laude, and is currently a candidate for his Master’s degree in Software Engineering from California State University, Sacramento.

Tim Lee, Business Unit Director, Migrations
Tim has been with Hansen since 1991, when Hansen’s Version 5 was the system offered. Having served in many roles during his tenure, he started in Technical Services, moved on to Development, and then into Projects. Tim’s wealth of industry experience has lead him to his current role in which he assists Hansen’s current clients in migrating their systems to Hansen’s latest version offering, Hansen 8. Armed with his project experience and technical knowledge of Hansen’s solutions, Tim helps Hansen clients meet their growing technological needs. Tim earned his B.S. in Computer Science at California State University, Chico, and is an Oracle Certified Professional.

Peter Morris, Business Unit Director, Transit & Rail
Peter has been in the business of Asset Management for over 30 years beginning in Steel Manufacturing and Mining in Australia.  Peter has implemented enterprise asset managements systems in Mining, Utilities and Public Transit.  Prior to his current position, Peter ran the European operations of Spear Technologies which was recently acquired by Hansen where he was responsible for implementation of all software projects for their U.K. and European operations. Before joining Spear, Peter ran a consulting organization dedicated to implementing asset management systems for the U.S. public transportation industry. Prior to that, he served as Product Manager of Engineering/Maintenance for Mincom, a software company specializing in asset management for the mining industry.

Peter Pagonis, Business Unit Director, Assets and CRM
Peter has worked in the Information Technology industry for 17 years and with Hansen products since 1994. He was introduced to the Hansen suite while working for Hansen’s Australasian business partner, and he joined Hansen in 2000 as Operations Manager for Hansen International Australasia. Peter has played a pivotal role in the implementation of Hansen Asset, Billing, and CDR solutions in the Australian and New Zealand markets. This breadth of experience provides Peter with a unique perspective into the requirements and challenges of implementing enterprise-wide applications in different global markets. Peter has a Bachelor of Applied Science from Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology (Melbourne, Australia), with a major in Cartography.

Judy Park, Director of Sales, Canada
As the Director of Sales for Canada, Judy Park is responsible for the overall operation of Hansen Canada with a strong focus on providing customer support for all Hansen clients in Canada as well as Western New York. Before Hansen, Judy spent 3 years with Siemens Building Technologies, Ltd. in Brampton, Ontario, where she worked extensively with the public sector clients in developing system upgrade and infrastructure renewal opportunities. Judy was also with Johnson Controls Ltd. for 14 years where she built her career from Application Engineering to establishing Performance Contracting Business Units in Toronto, Calgary and Vancouver. Judy brings to Hansen over 17 years of solution-based sales and operational experiences with record achievements in highly competitive and technical markets. Judy is a registered member of Professional Engineers of Ontario and holds a Bachelor's of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Calgary.

Peter Richardson, Managing Director, Hansen International Australasia Pty Ltd
Peter has worked in the information technology industry for 15 years and with Hansen International Australasia Pty Ltd (HIA) for the last four. Previously, he held the positions of National Sales and Marketing Manager, as well as Northern Region Sales Manager, with HIA. As HIA’s Managing Director, Peter is responsible for operations in Hansen’s Asia Pacific region, which includes Australia and New Zealand, as well as key partner relationships within Southeast Asia. Prior to joining Hansen, Peter held senior roles with several public and private business application vendors. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce in Finance and Accounting.

Craig Sanders, National Sales Director
As National Sales Director, Craig is responsible for all sales in the United States. He joined Hansen in 2004 and was instrumental in several significant successes in his previous role as an Account Manager. Craig is based out of San Diego, California and has over 15 years of sales experience. He earned his B.S. in Computer Science from the University of California, San Diego.

Bruce Taylor, Business Unit Director, Financials
Bruce brings to Hansen many years of experience as a project director and senior project manager on large-scale government-based financial and business implementations. Bruce has also managed a number of business transformation programs for both government and multi-national corporate enterprises. Prior to joining Hansen, Bruce was a senior KPMG Consulting Partner and the KPMG Australian National SAP Practice Leader.  He has been actively involved in the planning, development, and establishment of core business activities and processes, as well as in the management and control of IT functions. 

Carlos Thomas, Business Unit Director, Billing
Carlos Thomas has been with Hansen since 1998. During his tenure, Carlos has served as Managing Director for Hansen's Federal solutions, U.S. Western Regional Sales Manager and lead several major international accounts. He has spoken at multiple conferences about various government topics to audiences as large as 6,000 people. Carlos earned his B.S. from California State University, Sacramento and his M.B.A. from the University of Phoenix.

Scott Wright, Chief Financial Officer
Scott is a Certified Public Accountant with over 7 years of accounting experience. Prior to joining Hansen in 2005, Scott served as a financial statement auditor with both Ernst & Young and KPMG in the Silicon Valley and Sacramento areas. He specialized in public and private software companies, high-tech businesses, and government contract corporations. His areas of expertise include revenue recognition of multi-element software arrangements and long-term government contracts. Scott’s client portfolio included Apple Computer, National Semiconductor, Brocade Communications, Gencorp, BluePumpkin Software, Meridian Software, and Hansen Information Technologies. For the three years prior to joining the Company, he was the Audit Manager for the Hansen financial statement audits. Scott earned his Bachelor of Arts in Accounting and Master of Accountancy from Brigham Young University.
