Business Wire - Press Release
Commerce City, Colorado, Implements Hansen 8 Web-Based Permitting System
02.27.07, 3:00 PM ET

Hansen Information Technologies (Hansen(R)), a leading provider of enterprise applications for the public sector market, announced today that Commerce City, Colorado, has implemented the Hansen 8 Web-based Permitting System.

"Hansen's interface, built on a Web-based platform, was superior to anything else we evaluated," said Keith Fuchser, Commerce City's Business Process Manager. "Hansen 8 Permitting will allow more city employees to access the information needed to help citizens get through the permit process easier. With better reporting, and the improved technology on the back end, Hansen's Permitting will help Commerce City's staff, and even customers, process and track permits much more efficiently."

Hansen's on-site implementation team worked in conjunction with Fuchser and Permit Tech Supervisor Ann Freiberg to set up the new system, and some improvements are already visible. In 2006, Commerce City used 30 different permit types, but with the Hansen software, they have now consolidated those into 14 types.

This marks the end of implementation phase one (building permits), and marks the beginning of phase two, which will include use-permits and business and trade licensing. Hansen will also be interfacing the new system with the Tele-Works IVR (interactive voice recognition) solution.
