Hansen Information gets $21M contract

Sacramento Business Journal - August 25, 2006

Hansen Information Technologies has won its largest-ever contract, a $21 million project for the San Antonio Water System.

The Rancho Cordova-based company will provide a software management system to the nation's ninth-largest city. Hansen will provide billing, maintenance, permitting and other software to the San Antonio water system, which has more than 9,600 miles of main and 325,000 water customers.

Hewlett-Packard, Lawson, Selectron and Oracle Corp. are also part of the project.

The contract easily exceeds a $5 million deal with Caltrans in 2002, previously the largest for Hansen. The company has about 420 employees, including 250 in the Sacramento area, according to the most recent information provided to the Business Journal.
