Hansen buying Spear Technologies

RANCHO CORDOVA, Calif., April 20 (UPI) -- California's Hansen Information Technologies said Thursday it was buying Spear Technologies Inc., which sells asset management tools.

Spear, which has its headquarters in San Francisco, sells primarily to customers in the public transit and railroad market, including four of the 10 largest U.S. public transit agencies.

Its products also are used by three of the five largest bus companies serving central London.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
