Hansen Announces New Corporate HQ, Management Promotions, and New Hires, Following Banner Year of Growth
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:
SACRAMENTO, CA, January 14, 2005 – Following another banner year of growth, Hansen Information Technologies (Hansen®) today announced its plan to move its corporate headquarters to the City of Rancho Cordova, California. Hansen also announced several major promotions and new hires as part of its recently completed strategic plan to support its rapidly growing business and better serve its worldwide government clients.
New Corporate Headquarters
Effective March 15, 2005, Hansen will operate from its new location in the City of Rancho Cordova, California, about twelve miles from its original headquarters where the company was founded in 1983. Its new address will be 11092 Sun Center Drive, Rancho Cordova, California, 95670-6109. The new facility was privately acquired in November 2004 and is undergoing $1 million in improvements.
“Our new facilities have been designed with two purposes in mind; first, to support our growing base of customers, and second, to provide an enjoyable work environment for valued employees that are creating and supporting our next generation products and services,” said Chuck Hansen, Chairman and CEO of Hansen. “In addition to our corporate offices, the new facility features an executive conference center, training rooms, health center, lunch room, assorted breakout & meeting rooms, and an advanced data center to support our application hosting business.”
The new headquarters allows the company to combine its existing facilities under one roof and has ample room to accommodate our growing staff.
Major Promotions and New Hires
In support of the company’s recently completed strategic plan and continued growth, Hansen announced a number of key promotions and new hires.
“Last year, we began to notice that several products had become larger than our entire company just three years ago,” stated Chuck Hansen. “As part of our recently adopted strategic plan, we determined that by creating new business units having their own software development, project management, and support staff, we could deliver a whole new level of ‘subject matter’ expertise for our customers. Given our expansion into mission critical applications, like utility billing, property taxes, permits, licensing, and financials, we needed to formulate better ways to align the needs of our customers with our new XML-based products featured in Hansen 8.”
In addition to creating separate business units for Assets, Billing, and CDR, the company has also created Technical Services, Business Services, and Corporate Services groups to support its core XML technologies and enterprise-wide customers.
Promoted to run Hansen’s new Business Units include: Nick Phillips, Business Unit Director for Assets; Carlos Thomas, Business Unit Director for Billing; and Bob Benstead, Business Unit Director for CDR. Bob Benstead returns to the United States after nearly two years as Hansen’s Managing Director of Hansen UK (Ltd.). During his assignment, Bob more than tripled the size of Hansen’s UK business, now staffed with nearly a dozen people.
“I look forward to running Hansen’s new CDR Business Unit and focusing on the needs of our most demanding Building Permit, Code Enforcement, Licensing, and Property customers,” said Benstead. “As a part of our business unit model, customers will have unprecedented access to help us build our XML-based product library, in addition to creating new business objects, innovative workflows, spatial queries, and many other new features.”
Joining Hansen as Chief Technical Officer is John Buffington who will be in charge of the company’s Technical Services Group. John was formerly Director of Development for a Fortune 50 publicly-traded high tech company.
Also joining Hansen is Kristin Bergevin, Director of Human Resources. Prior to joining Hansen, Kristin managed Human Resources departments for high tech companies in the Silicon Valley. One of which, she facilitated the company’s transition from a privately-held company through its successful Initial Public Offering (IPO).
Gord Johnson, resident in Hansen’s Mississauga offices, becomes responsible for migrating customers from Hansen 7 to Hansen 8.
