RANCHO CORDOVA, CA—January 31, 2007—Hansen Information Technologies (Hansen®), a leading provider of enterprise applications for the public sector market, today announced that Hansen 8 Inventory Control is integrated to Oracle’s PeopleSoft Financials Asset and Inventory Management modules using Oracle® Fusion Middleware. This combined system will provide customers with a comprehensive, seamless, business-process-level inventory management solution in which Hansen 8 Inventory Control manages the stock, while PeopleSoft maintains key data elements such as vendor master data, inventory master data, and cost master data. Hansen Information Technologies is a member of the Oracle PartnerNetwork.
Hansen 8 Inventory Control provides the tools an agency needs to manage every part in its inventory. Hansen 8 tracks each part's usage and location in detail, allowing the user to quickly determine which parts the organization stocks, where the parts are located, and how many parts are currently in stock. With Hansen 8, the user can reserve parts, track scrap inventory, and calculate Last In First Out (LIFO) and First In First Out (FIFO) costing.
“Integrating Hansen 8 Inventory Control with PeopleSoft Financials Asset and Inventory Management will be a big win for our customers,” said Hansen Chief Technology Officer Russell Gainford. “The Hansen 8 system provides interoperable services for interfacing with a W3C/SOAP-compliant system such as PeopleSoft Financials, and Oracle Fusion Middleware provides the ideal mechanism to integrate these systems. Oracle Fusion Middleware also provides top-notch security and superior management of real-time data transfers.”
Oracle Fusion Middleware provides a common technology platform for Hansen to more easily integrate and support its entire mix of Oracle and non-Oracle enterprise applications while laying the groundwork for a SOA. Use of Oracle Fusion Middleware to integrate Hansen solutions with Oracle applications results in a number of expected benefits for Hansen customers, including more comprehensive solutions, lower total cost-of-ownership, and increased agility.
