Through Hansen 8, Lancaster’s Public Works Department will be able to streamline workflow and customer service processes within its Building and Safety, Engineering, Maintenance and Transportation Divisions. Specifically, Hansen 8’s Roadway, Mobile Solutions and Integrated Geographic Information Systems (GIS) solutions, will help the City develop and implement more efficient methods of managing work orders and developing a detailed database of its transportation assets, including roadways, signs, signals, and lane markings. Users will also be able to take advantage of wireless inspection features that will eliminate manual data entry.
Hansen 8 is a 100% XML-Based web services solution that easily integrates
with Hansen’s DynamicPORTAL™ technology allowing residents with online
access to pull building permits and submit and view service requests. Leveraging
Hansen’s workflow engine, these requests are processed and tracked through
the Hansen application, keeping the citizen informed throughout the entire
business life cycle. In addition, City staff will be able to provide faster
responses to user requests and questions by using Hansen 8.
Hansen 8's ability to support an advanced 100% XML-Based web services architecture
allows cities like Lancaster to provide users with a flexible, intuitive and
easy-to-use solution to enhance operations. Hansen 8 is a 100% server-side,
ZERO client-side software solution that eliminates the need to load, maintain,
or support application code on a remote PC. Hansen 8 does not require any third-party
plug-ins, adaptors, or message brokers, commonly required in Java and J2EE
solutions.
