RANCHO CORDOVA, California, August 5, 2005 – Hansen Information Technologies (Hansen®) today announced record revenues for its six months ending July 31, 2005. Competitive selections and new contract awards for its flagship Hansen 8 release, a 100% web-browser based solution, contributed to the successful results. "We are simply delighted by the market acceptance of our Hansen 8 solutions," said Chuck Hansen, Chairman & CEO. "We are now seeing the fruits of our business transformation efforts started last year, when we created dedicated business units to focus on the needs of industry-specific business processes and workflows. Working with a select number of strategic customers, we now offer the industry’s first 100% web-browser based technology to help manage the business of government." For the three months ending July 31, 2005, revenues (GAAP-basis) grew over 37% compared to the prior quarter, representing an all-time high for the company. On a cash-basis of reporting revenue, i.e. without the impact of revenue recognition requirements, billings increased over 32% from the prior quarter. In other developments, the company announced the formation of Hansen’s Financial Business Unit, effective July 1, 2005. Led by former CFO, Scott Pfeiffer, the new business unit will (1) manage system integration projects between Hansen’s products and traditional ERP solutions, including SAP, Oracle, PeopleSoft, J.D. Edwards and others; (2) market and deliver the company’s Business Intelligence solutions, including its advanced Comprehensive Annual Financial Reporting (CAFR) product; (3) support its client/server legacy Microsoft Business Solutions Great Plains ERP solution; and (4) launch its upcoming .NET-based Hansen Financial ERP solution. Scott Wright, Hansen’s former Corporate Controller, who had previously supervised the independent financial audit of the company as Audit Manager with Ernst & Young, was promoted to Chief Financial Officer, effective July 1, 2005. While Hansen 8 for Assets and Community, Development, and Regulations (CDR) are currently being deployed at some of the world’s largest government agencies, the company also announced its plan to unveil Hansen 8 for Billing at NETWORK 2005, Hansen’s annual user conference October 2-6, 2005. |
