RANCHO CORDOVA, CA—August 10, 2006—Hansen Information Technologies (Hansen®), a leading provider of government Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) applications, announced today that Mid Kent Water, Ltd. of Kent, England has gone live with Phase 2 of their organization-wide adoption of the Hansen 8 Asset Management software solution. The completion of Phase 2 will allow Mid Kent Water to track, analyze, and schedule all planned preventive maintenance for approximately 15,000 utility assets in a 100% Web-browser-based environment. These assets include large, complex facilities such as treatment plants and pumping stations, as well as individual items such as water pumps and plant equipment. The new planned preventive maintenance system will be easier to use, easier to access, and will allow for more detailed information to be recorded and organized against the asset hierarchy. The completion of the second of four phases in the Hansen 8 implementation is an important milestone. Mid Kent Water is replacing seven internally-developed systems—by going live with Phase 2 of Hansen 8 they have begun to achieve their goals of greater flexibility and scalability along with improved cost-efficiency. “Phase 2 of the Hansen 8 system has been extremely well received by the Supply department and has already shown the potential to deliver business benefits,” said Ark Wingrove, Supply Operations Manager at Mid Kent Water. “The time and effort spent on process analysis and system configuration will deliver vast improvements over our legacy systems and transform the way we manage our planned maintenance work. We are excited about working with the Hansen UK team to deliver Phase 3, which will see the implementation of reactive works, Mobile Solution, and GIS Integration.”
“It has been fantastic to see Phases 1 and 2—the core of the Hansen 8 Asset Management solution—come together after so much hard work with Ark’s team on process analysis and configuration,” said Matthew Brockway, Operations and Delivery Manager at Hansen UK. “It has been particularly satisfying to demonstrate that all of the Hansen 8 personalization and customization tools have delivered a solution that meets Mid Kent Water’s specific Phase 1 and 2 requirements. Bringing together Phase 3 will see Mid Kent Water realize their long-term vision of implementing a cutting-edge enterprise asset management solution that will continue to grow and change with the business well into the future.” To learn more about the Mid Kent Water Phase 2 Go Live, please click here to view the Mid Kent Water Work and Asset Management System (WAMS) company-wide press release. |
