SACRAMENTO, CA, October 25, 2004 - Hansen Information Technologies (Hansen®) today announced an agreement with Vision Appraisal Technology, Inc. of Massachusetts to offer the public-sector’s first complete tax solution from, and supported by, a single vendor. The complete solution automates the generation and updating of the tax roll by interfacing Hansen’s tax administration, building and use permitting with Computer-Assisted Mass Appraisal (CAMA) and tax billing.

A CAMA system is an automated system for maintaining property data, valuing property, notifying owners, and ensuring tax equity through uniform valuations. Vision Appraisal Technology, Inc. currently offers a CAMA software application, Appraisal Vision®. The Appraisal Vision software includes all of the primary components of a full-featured real property and personal property valuation and tax administration system including: data management, valuation (cost, market and income), analysis and appeal administration.
The CAMA product is completely scaleable and can accommodate any number of property accounts. Vision Appraisal’s CAMA software is currently installed in over 300 assessor offices located in the northeast United States. More than 100 appraisal projects have been completed using the software.
